Directions
From Fort William take the ‘Road to the Isles’ (A830) - the turning is off the A82 about 2 miles north of the town. Follow this road for about 20 miles to Lochailort. Just past the Lochailort Inn, turn left on to the A861 and follow this road along the south shore of the sea loch to Glenuig (about 8 miles).
In Glenuig, turn right along the road that leads past the Glenuig Inn, and continue carefully along this narrow road which winds past Samalaman Bay and Samalaman House, then goes up a hill and eventually reaches a parking area. You will need to leave your car here.
The croft cottage
itself is not directly accessible by car. It is nearly 1/2 a mile from the nearest road so it is not suitable for those of limited mobility.
